Foodways: Caribbean Flavours.  Three chefs bring sunshine to  the Art Gallery of Ontario La-toya Fagon By Stephen Weir There is an art to appreciating Caribbean cooking and fine dining, and there is no better place to learn about it than the Art Gallery of Ontario! For the next two Friday afternoon, two of the city’s most loved Caribbean chefs will be on-line schooling AGO patrons about the fine art of Caribbean Flavours!  The 45-minute talks are called  Foodways: Caribbean Flavours  and feature chef and food stylists Roger Mooking, La-Toya Fagon and  Selwyn Richards ( pictured left ). New Free TV Channel Is Celebrating Caribbean Restaurant Week In Toronto By Stephen Weir One Caribbean TV's Mr. Toronto Damian Sogren at Real Jerk  I missed Samuel Jackson by a couple of days, but, I did get to sit on the very same bar stool he sat in when visiting the Real Jerk.  The popular Jamaican Food Emporium, was mum when I asked what he ate, what he drank and how much was his tip. They did tell me I also missed Drake and Rihanna by a couple years. I wasn’t at the Real Jerk looking for stars, I was there for the Jamaican food and to talk to Damian Sogren the host of One Caribbean TV’s first Toronto Caribbean Restaurant Week shorts. And if his new food truck takes off, it will be Mr. Jerk, thank you. Last week the Jamaican Canadian chef rolled out a new food truck. The Caribbean Camera missed his very first gig at the intersection of Rexdale Blvd and Islington Avenue, but, the paper did catch up with him on his second night on the streets of Toronto last Wednesday evening. He was selling his jerk chicken at the Winona Drive Senior Public School concert on Winona in midtown Toronto. There was a large line-up of students and parents when the Caribbean Camera first arrived.
