Snorklers and Scuba Diver cisitors nowl have a new reason to explore beneath

the surface in Saint Lucia. Below Saint Lucia, a new underwater sculpture park at Anse La Verdure

on the island’s southwest coast, will bring together art, culture, history and marine conservation

through an immersive collection of underwater sculptures inspired by Saint Lucia’s people, heritage

and national identity.

Developed by DeepBlueSea, the Anse La Verdure site is the first phase of a three-phase underwater

sculpture park concept, with future locations planned, including Anse Ferre in Ciceron.

At the heart of Below Saint Lucia is a collection of 31 underwater sculptures celebrating the people

whose courage, vision and contributions have helped shape the nation. The collection pays tribute

to individuals and groups connected to the end of the slavery era, war fighters, entrepreneurs,

cultural preservers, community leaders and other trailblazers whose legacies continue to influence

generation

 . Chasing Ink With Camera! One Day On A Little Cayman Dive Boat The compass has a dive flag. Celtic ink with 3 waves for the dive world Stripping down in Little Cayman's only food store Little Cayman Island, population 200, attracts only two types of visitors.  Ornithologists. Experienced Scuba Divers. Ornithologists because of the birds. The largest colony of Red Footed Boobies in the Caribbean is found on Little Cayman's Booby Pond. Scuba Divers go there because of the sheer wall of coral found in the island's underwater preserve, just north of the island. My wife and I returned from Little Cayman Island on Sunday.  We weren't there for the birds. Flamingo is the logo for dive haven Bonaire. We spent most of our week on a couple of dive boats. Underwater Grenada Ghost Story

On the last Sunday of 2007, the Toronto Sun ran a feature that I wrote about diving aboard the Wind Dancer in the waters of Grenada. The story is about diving, but, it is about ghosts too. I have received a couple of emails about the cover photo that the Sun published. It shows asmall eel with tiny yellow cleaning fish perched on its head. Unfortunately, someone at the Sun thought the cleaning fish was actually the eel's mouth and as a result the photograph was run upside down. The Sun gets about a million readers on Sunday and so far only three people have noticed. I have reprinted the cover and the original photograph above.
