Toronto Film Maker Opens Revolution at Toronto International Film Festival

I attended last night's world premiere of Rob Stewart's newest eco-documentary, Revolution. The full-length movie was screened  here in Toronto to an almost full house at TIFF.

 Stewart, an underwater filmmaker (Shark Water) spends most of this movie above-water looking at how close the planet is to a total eco-meltdown. The movie is very critical of Canada's Tar Sands project. Great underwater scenes with whale sharks and manta rays.

 Pictured is Stewart before and after the screening, and a plastic shark prop (from the movie) outside the Wellington Street bar where the after-party was held.

No Butts About It (although judges liked his Butt!). Mr. CHIN Bikini chosen today

 Moonzir Butt Wins! Mr. CHIN International Bikini 201l chosen today at the Scotiabank CHIN International Picnic,  the Bandshell, CNE Grounds, Toronto. WINNER: This year’s winner is 22-year old Moonzir Butt.  The Oakville native beat out 14 other contestants in this evening’s outdoor competition. Second prize was awarded to 29-year old John Burdo and third place went to Troy Campbell. Trinidad and Tobago Kidnap Movie Kills At Box Office

The Cutlass cutting it up after very successful debut in Toronto By Stephen Weir for the Caribbean Camera Kidnapping is a cottage industry in Trinidad. The Trinidad Guardian says that it “is a crime so epidemic that Trinidad ranks second in the world only behind Colombia for its rate of abductions”.
